Where Horse and Human love to be!
| Welcome to Sandhills Equine Center! Ron and Jodi Hansen along with their five daughters provide an environment that is both relaxing and exciting. The Sandhills Equine Center is a quick and easy drive thirty miles southwest of Fargo-Moorhead. The "Country Club", as boarders fondly refer to Sandhills Equine Center, is the hub for equine as well as non-equine activity.

Turn into our country haven and you will be met with a park-like view surrounding our three barns. To the left is the box stall barn, center stage is the boardwalk barn, and to the right is the indoor arena. Look beyond to both the bass pond and the natural grandstand overlooking the outdoor arena.
|
| European style box stalls grace the first barn. They are a comfortable 12’ x 12’ area. This barn is climate controlled, as are the other two. The floor system is unique with urine drainage and ammonia control.

Our guests are immediately at ease inside the boardwalk barn with the spacious, knotty pine lounge. Our boarders relax with refreshments, comfortable seating, and a game of pool on a professional table. Ping-pong and piano music add to the environment. It is the perfect place to relax before and after a horse ride.
|
| The indoor training pen has innovative seating just right to observe while a trainer works with a horse. The walls of this 32’ diameter area are of the same soothing pine as the lounge and tack room.

The tack room is a horseman’s dream. Our boarders appreciate the large tack compartments. Each contains two saddle racks with ample space for more equipment. Just a couple steps away are six tie stalls constructed with beautiful cedar posts and thick pine boards. The horse stands comfortably with sweet smelling prairie hay in the manger while it is groomed and saddled.
|
The indoor arena is an area 55'X85' - room to enjoy a ride away from inclement weather.
Sandhills Equine Center is built on the bank of the old time Lake Agassiz. Because of this, we have awesome sandy soil perfect for healthy hooves. Mud is something we don’t have to worry about.
We also love our location for the unlimited trail riding just outside our back door. Numerous acres of CRP surround Sandhills Equine Center. There is a country trail that leads directly to the little town of Leonard, ND. Do you need more? We are just north of the well-known Sheyenne Grasslands. That is 80,000 acres of government pasture with 27 miles of marked out horse trails.
